Overview

The Panorama GPSB5G Sharkee is an OEM-style sharkfin vehicle antenna that places four functions in one housing: 4G/5G cellular across 698-960 and 1710-3800 MHz, dual-band 2.4/5.0 GHz Wi-Fi, an improved GPS/GNSS module with a 26 dB LNA, and a whip position for VHF or UHF radio. It installs through a single hole, is rated IP66 and is built for public safety, utility and transportation fleets.

The Panorama GPSB5G is the latest version of the Sharkee, a multi-technology sharkfin antenna for fleet vehicles. It combines GPS/GNSS, 4G/5G cellular and dual-band Wi-Fi in one OEM automotive-style housing, with a whip mounting position for VHF or UHF radio. Public safety agencies, utilities and transportation companies use the GPSB range worldwide when roof space is limited and every function has to share one fixing.

Three internal antenna systems handle the data side. A single cellular element (SISO) covers 698-960 and 1710-3800 MHz for 2G, 3G, 4G LTE and 5G. Dual-band Wi-Fi works at 2.4 and 5.0 GHz. An improved GPS/GNSS module with advanced filtering has a 26 dB LNA. Panorama also lists CBRS among the supported technologies, and the pattern is omnidirectional. Each function has its own termination: SMA (m) for LTE, SMA (f) for Wi-Fi, FME (f) for GPS and FME (m) for the whip.

The antenna needs only a single hole in the vehicle panel. That reduces vehicle damage, installation cost and visual impact, and it helps protect resale value. The housing measures 120 x 58 x 50 mm (4.72 x 2.28 x 1.97 in), is rated IP66 and operates from -40 °C to +80 °C. Its flame-retardant pigtail cables comply with UNECE R118, so it is suitable for fitment to M3 category vehicles.
