The Zebra TC501 (TC501G-321A1A1A01-NA) is a rugged 6-inch Android mobile computer for retail, field service and delivery teams. This North America configuration pairs 5G and Wi-Fi 7 with a Qualcomm Dragonwing Q-6690 processor at 2.0 GHz and 8 GB RAM with 128 GB flash. It also has an SR500 1D/2D scan engine, integrated short-range UHF RFID, a 50 MP rear camera and a hot-swappable 5000 mAh standard battery with Secure Element hardware security.

The Zebra TC501 is the most rugged and most powerful device in Zebra's TC5 Series. It replaces the TC52x, TC57x and TC52ax. This SKU, TC501G-321A1A1A01-NA, is the North America WWAN configuration. It combines 5G NR Sub-6 (Release 17) and Wi-Fi 7 with a Qualcomm Dragonwing Q-6690 running at 2.0 GHz, 8 GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128 GB UFS 3.1 flash, which you can expand with a microSD card of up to 2 TB. Zebra rates the platform at up to 300% more performance than legacy TC5 devices, and it includes a dedicated on-device AI engine.

Data capture is built around the SR500 1D/2D scan engine, which uses a yellow LED aimer and red illumination. It is designed for moderate to intense scanning, with an improved 2D barcode finder for bright sunlight and high motion tolerance. Every TC501 includes short-range UHF RFID that reads more than 200 tags per second at up to 6.5 ft (2 m). There is also NFC with wallet and contactless payment support, a 50 MP autofocus rear camera and an 8 MP front camera.

The 6-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display reaches 1500 nits peak brightness and sits under Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. The touch panel works with bare fingers, gloves or a passive stylus. The device is sealed to IP68 and IP65 and survives 8 ft (2.44 m) drops to concrete at room temperature, or 9 ft with the rugged boot. It is also rated for 2000 tumbles at 1.6 ft (0.5 m).

The hot-swappable 5000 mAh (19.45 Wh) standard battery reports real-time health through PowerPrecision+, and Zebra's fast-charging options take it from 0 to 70% in 45 minutes. For security, the TC501 uses Android Strongbox with a Secure Element IC, FIPS 140-3 validation, Common Criteria certification, and Secure Boot and Verified Boot. The box contains the mobile computer, a Regulatory Guide and a Quick Start Guide.
