Overview
The D-Link DWM-314-GP is a rugged 5G PoE modem/gateway for smart-city and M2M deployments. It combines 5G SA/NSA at up to 3.4 Gbps with dual Micro SIM auto-failover, and eSIM is available as a factory option. A built-in 4-port Gigabit switch includes two 802.3at PoE+ PSE ports with a 60 W budget. It supports OpenVPN and WireGuard, IPS and MAC/IP filtering, and D-ECS management, all in a zinc-plated steel case rated -30 to 70 °C.

The DWM-314-GP connects and powers field equipment over a single 5G link. It suits smart poles, traffic monitoring, surveillance cameras, digital signage, bus stops and environmental sensors. Two Micro SIM slots with automatic failover keep the site online if one network goes down, and eSIM can be installed at the factory on request. The gateway also switches automatically between 4G and 5G as conditions change.
The 3GPP Release 16 sub-6 GHz modem is rated up to 3.4 Gbps down and 550 Mbps up in 5G NSA, 2.4 Gbps down and 900 Mbps up in 5G SA, and 1.6 Gbps down and 200 Mbps up on LTE (DL Cat 19/UL Cat 18). Four SMA (F) connectors support the included antennas. The built-in 4-port Gigabit switch has two standard LAN ports and two PoE LAN ports that act as 802.3af/at PSE. Each PoE port delivers up to 30 W from a 60 W total budget, which is enough for IP cameras, access points and sensors without a separate PoE switch. PD failure check detects and recovers unresponsive powered devices, and PoE scheduling manages energy use.
Security covers OpenVPN and WireGuard tunnels, IPS, port forwarding and MAC/IP filtering. Networking includes NAT, static routing, DHCP server and DDNS. Ping-query reboot, SMS event management, the web UI and D-Link D-ECS centralized management (M2M device licence required) support remote operations.
The corrosion-resistant zinc-plated steel case measures 149 x 99 x 40 mm and mounts on a wall or DIN rail; a DIN-rail kit is included. It runs from -30 to 70 °C on a 48-57 V DC terminal-block input. Certifications include CE, UKCA, FCC, PTCRB, VCCI, JATE and TELEC, with AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile approvals.
