Surface Pro for Business, 13-inch (12th Edition) with 5G is a Windows 11 Pro 2-in-1. It works as a pen-ready tablet or, with the 165-degree kickstand and a Surface Pro keyboard, as a laptop. EP2-55453 is the TAA-compliant SKU of the Core Ultra 5, LCD, 16GB, 256GB Platinum 5G configuration (equivalent to EP2-54461), which makes it a fit for government, education and contract purchasing that requires TAA compliance. It weighs 2.00 lbs (906 g) in an anodized aluminum enclosure.
The built-in cellular modem supports 5G NR SA/NSA with downloads up to 2.9 Gbps, 4G Gigabit LTE-Advanced Pro (Cat 19 downlink up to 1.6 Gbps) and a broad band set including n41, n71 and n77. It accepts a nanoSIM or eSIM and can run a Wi-Fi hotspot for up to 8 devices. On cellular, Microsoft rates it at up to 17.5 hours of local video playback and up to 7.5 hours of active web usage.
The Intel Core Ultra 5 processor 335 includes an Intel AI Boost NPU rated at 47 TOPS for on-device AI features. The 13-inch LCD PixelSense Flow display offers 2880 x 1920 resolution (267 PPI), a dynamic refresh rate of up to 120Hz, 600 nits brightness and an anti-reflective coating certified to ISO 9241-307. Two USB4/Thunderbolt 4 ports support up to three 4K monitors at 60Hz.
Security is handled by the Secured-core PC design: Microsoft Pluton, TPM 2.0, BitLocker support and Windows Hello facial recognition with Enhanced Sign-in Security. The SSD, battery and many other components are replaceable, which helps fleets stay in service longer. This is a United States commercial configuration with English, Canadian French and Spanish language support. Pen and keyboard are sold separately.

EP2-55453 is the TAA-compliant SKU. Its configuration is the same as EP2-54461: Intel Core Ultra 5 (Series 3), LCD display, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD, Platinum, Wi-Fi + 5G.
What cellular networks does it support?
It supports 5G NR (SA and NSA) with downloads up to 2.9 Gbps, 4G Gigabit LTE-Advanced Pro and WCDMA. It uses a nanoSIM or eSIM. Available coverage and speed depend on your carrier network and plan.
Can the storage be upgraded or replaced?
The 256GB Gen 4 SSD is removable, and Microsoft lists it as a replacement component. The line is offered with 256GB, 512GB and 1TB drives.
Is a keyboard or pen included?
No. The Surface Pro 13-inch Keyboard, Flex Keyboard and Surface Slim Pen (2nd Edition) are sold separately. The box includes the tablet, a Quick Start Guide and safety and warranty documents. A 39W Surface Connect power supply is included in select markets with specific configurations.
