Overview

The Lantronix G526GP17S is the Japan and South Korea variant of the G520 Series G526 Industrial cellular gateway. It carries LTE Cat-4 on bands B1, B3, B5, B7, B8, B9, B18, B19 and B21. The gateway connects machinery, vehicles and remote assets through two 10/100 Ethernet ports, RS-232, RS-485, USB, configurable I/O and CAN bus. It adds dual SIM, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS and fieldbus protocol conversion in an aluminum housing rated from -30 °C to +70 °C. This is a non-US regional variant.

The Lantronix G526GP17S is the G526 Industrial model of the G520 Series, built for Japan and South Korea. It supports 4G LTE Cat-4 on bands B1, B3, B5, B7, B8, B9, B18, B19 and B21, which cover the key frequencies used in those markets. It is not intended for North American networks. Lantronix publishes a JATE certificate for this SKU.

The gateway is designed for industrial equipment. It has two 10/100 Ethernet ports: one LAN, and one WAN that can be reconfigured as a second LAN. It also has a full RS-232 port on a 9-pin sub-D header, RS-485 via a 5-pin COMBICON header, a USB Type-A host port, two user-configurable I/Os and an ignition input. Each I/O works as an analogue input, a 4-20 mA current-loop input or a digital output. The built-in protocol suite covers Modbus master, DNP3 Outstation, IEC 104 slave, IEC 101 master, EtherCAT and DLMS client, and Lantronix lists CAN bus among the G526 interfaces.

Dual SIM with single standby, failover or load balancing across Ethernet, cellular and Wi-Fi, and configurable watchdogs keep remote sites reachable. Last Gasp provides roughly 100 seconds of backup power to report an outage. Traffic is protected by a zone-based firewall, VLAN, DMZ, HTTPS management, SIM PIN and VPN options including IPsec (up to 4 channels), OpenVPN, WireGuard, L2TP, GRE and PPTP client.

The G526GP17S runs on 10.8-60 V DC and operates from -30 °C to +70 °C at up to 95% RH. Its brushed aluminum housing measures 131.5 x 81.27 x 25 mm and weighs about 300 g. Fleets can be managed through Lantronix Percepxion or third-party platforms via TR-069, and the G520 SDK supports custom applications in Python or C/C++.
