Overview

The Digi IX25-RA-1G is a rugged 5G RedCap edge computing router with LTE Cat 4 fallback, built for industrial, utility and enterprise sites. It pairs worldwide cellular with Anterix, FirstNet Capable and CBRS band support. You also get Wi-Fi 6E, four Gigabit Ethernet ports, RS-232/485 serial, GPIOs and GNSS. Dual nano-SIM slots and an embedded Digi eSIM support carrier diversity. A 1-year Digi 360 solution covers Digi Remote Manager, warranty and customer care.

Digi IX25-RA-1G is the 5G RedCap, Wi-Fi 6E model of the Digi IX25 industrial cellular router family. It is a compact, all-in-one edge platform for SCADA, telemetry, predictive maintenance, machine control, branch failover, ATMs, kiosks, lottery terminals, unattended retail and digital signage. Digi builds it with Western cellular modules in TAA-compliant facilities.

The cellular side covers a broad set of 5G NR and 4G LTE bands, with LTE Cat 4 fallback. Band support includes B14 for FirstNet, B48/n48 for CBRS and B106 for Anterix, so one unit can serve public carriers and private networks. The router is approved by PTCRB, AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon, is FirstNet Capable and is Anterix Active. Two nano-SIM holders and a soldered-on MFF2 Digi eSIM with eUICC (SGP.32) support remote carrier switching. Digi WAN Bonding and SureLink keep links resilient.

On site, the router provides: - Four auto-sensing 10/100/1000 RJ-45 ports, each configurable as WAN or LAN - An RJ-50 serial port, software-selectable between RS-232 and RS-485 - Two digital I/Os and USB 2.0 - A GNSS receiver covering GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou and Galileo - Dual-band 2x2 Wi-Fi 6E across 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz for local access or failover

A 1.2 GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB eMMC runs Digi Containers and edge applications locally.

The IP30 enclosure is rated for Class 1 Div 2 and ATEX Zone 2 locations and tested to MIL-STD-810H. It operates from −40 °C to 75 °C. Power comes from 9–30 VDC, passive PoE or USB Type-C PD. Security includes FIPS 140-3, VPN, firewall, logging and authentication with license-free enterprise software. Management runs through the included Digi 360 solution with Digi Remote Manager.
