The Parsec Australian Shepherd PTA9AS4L4WD15B is the flagship 9:1 configuration of Parsec's low-profile 5G vehicle antenna. It packs four 4G/5G cellular elements for 4x4 MIMO, four Wi-Fi elements for 4x4 MIMO Wi-Fi and an L1/L5 dual-band GPS element into one IP67 housing. It installs through a single 1.5 in hole and has 15 ft cables and a black radome.
Parsec describes the Australian Shepherd as its best covert low-profile, high-performance 5G antenna. The PTA9AS4L4WD15B is the full 9:1 build, made for public safety and fleet vehicles running high-end mobile routers. The narrow, aerodynamic housing fits between roof ridges and pairs with modern low-profile police light bars without adding wind noise.
The four cellular elements cover 617-894, 1710-2700, 3400-4000 and 5150-5925 MHz. They support either full 4x4 MIMO on one modem or two cellular modems running simultaneously. North American coverage includes FirstNet B14, B71, n41, n71, n77, CBRS (B48/n48) and LAA (B46). Peak cellular gain reaches 7 dBi, and radiated efficiency is up to 70% in the 1710-2700 MHz range. The four Wi-Fi elements cover 2400-2483.5 and 4900-5900 MHz with 10 dBi peak gain for 4x4 MIMO Wi-Fi inside and around the vehicle.
This configuration uses Parsec's L1/L5 dual-band GPS element, which the family offers only in the 9:1 and 13:1 builds. Combined antenna and preamp gain is 28 dBic on L1 (1563-1587 MHz) and 26 dBic on L5 (1164-1189 MHz), with RHCP polarization. It suits routers and telematics units that use dual-band GNSS.
The antenna is IP67 rated, uses a UV-stabilised plastic radome and seals with an adhesive gasket. It operates from -40 °C to 85 °C, and Parsec states every unit is 100% tested. It includes nine 15 ft leads: LSR200 for cellular and Wi-Fi, and LSR100 for GPS. Cellular and GPS leads end in SMA(M) and Wi-Fi leads in RP-SMA(M). Parsec's datasheet and installation guide cover mounting and dimensions.
It includes four 4G/5G cellular elements, four Wi-Fi elements and one L1/L5 dual-band GPS element, each on its own 15 ft cable.
Yes. The four cellular ports support full 4x4 MIMO on one modem or two cellular modems running simultaneously.
The dual-band element covers L1 (1563-1587 MHz) and L5 (1164-1189 MHz). Combined antenna and preamp gain is 28 dBic on L1 and 26 dBic on L5, with RHCP polarization and a 3 to 5 V preamp.
It covers n2, n5, n12, n25, n26, n41, n48, n66, n71 and n77. It also covers LTE bands including B14, B46, B48 and B71.
It mounts on the vehicle roof through a single 1.5 in hole and seals with an adhesive gasket. Pole, magnetic and suction accessories are available, and Parsec provides an installation guide.
