Overview

The Parsec Australian Shepherd PTA9AS4L4WG15B is a low-profile 9:1 vehicle roof antenna for fleets and first responders. One black IP67 housing holds four 4G/5G cellular elements, four Wi-Fi elements and an L1 GPS element. Cellular coverage spans 617 MHz to 5925 MHz, including CBRS and LAA. It installs through a single 1.5-inch hole, and each element comes with a 15 ft low-loss cable.

The Australian Shepherd PTA9AS4L4WG15B is Parsec's compact all-in-one 9:1 antenna for vehicles that need full 5G cellular, in-vehicle Wi-Fi and GPS positioning from one roof penetration. It is built for ambulances, police and fire vehicles, fleet trucks, city buses and remote surveillance units. The housing is 2.01 inches tall and 2.45 inches wide, so it fits between rooftop ridges and alongside low-profile LED light bars. Parsec also designed it to be aerodynamic to limit noise around and inside the vehicle.

Four cellular elements cover 617–894 MHz, 1710–2700 MHz, 3400–4000 MHz and 5150–5925 MHz. That range includes the common North American LTE and 5G NR bands, CBRS (B48/n48) and LAA (B46). The antenna can run as full 4x4 MIMO to a single modem or split to support two cellular modems at the same time. Four Wi-Fi elements cover 2400–2483.5 MHz and 4900–5900 MHz, with peak gain of 10 dBi. An L1 GPS element (1575.42 MHz) provides RHCP positioning signal to the router.

The antenna is rated IP67 and operates from -40 °C to 85 °C. It uses a plastic radome with UV additive and seals to the roof with an adhesive gasket. Parsec states that every unit is 100% tested. Cellular and GPS leads terminate in SMA(M) connectors and Wi-Fi leads in RP-SMA(M), on 15 ft LSR200 (cellular and Wi-Fi) and LSR100 (GPS) cable.

The standard mount is a direct roof mount. Pole, magnetic and suction mounting accessories are available separately. Parsec publishes a datasheet and an installation guide for the Australian Shepherd series.
