About This Device
Plenty of sites need 5G throughput but have no room — physical or budgetary — for flagship multi-port routers. The RUTM20 answers with Teltonika's most compact packaging of the Telit FN990A28 modem: a light, small-footprint 5G router that installs where RUT241-class hardware fits today, while multiplying the available cellular bandwidth.
The FN990A28 module defines the radio story. Its band support spans North American, EMEA, and APAC networks, with 4G fallback where 5G has not arrived — a coverage profile that lets distributed organizations run one compact 5G SKU across regions. Workloads that strain Cat 4 and Cat 6 routers — camera backhaul, rich signage, sites with real user counts, latency-sensitive edge applications — get the headroom 5G provides.
The software is the familiar Teltonika stack. RutOS brings the integrated firewall, wide VPN protocol support, and detailed routing and access policy that industrial buyers specify the brand for, and Teltonika RMS centralizes configuration, monitoring, and firmware across the fleet. For teams already operating RUT-series estates, the RUTM20 is a radio upgrade, not an operational migration.
Use it to refresh compact LTE installations that have hit their bandwidth ceiling, to stand up 5G kiosks and cabinets in tight spaces, and to standardize a small-form 5G unit across international footprints.
