Overview

The Teltonika RUTM52 is Teltonika's first dual 5G router, built for mission-critical sites that cannot afford downtime. Two 5G Sub-6 GHz modems support SA and NSA networks with LTE Cat 19 fallback. Dual SIM slots and eSIM enable load balancing and instant switchover between carriers. It also provides Wi-Fi 5, five Gigabit Ethernet ports and RutOS with industrial protocols, VPNs and RMS remote management. This SKU (RUTM52200600) is the North America hardware version and ships with a US power supply.

The Teltonika RUTM52 is a dual-modem 5G router for branch offices, industrial sites, kiosks and other deployments where one cellular link is not enough. Each of its two 5G Sub-6 GHz modems supports both SA and NSA architectures, rated at 2.4/3.4 Gbps downlink with 4x4 MIMO, and falls back to LTE Cat 19. Both physical SIMs can run at the same time. Each modem can also switch independently between its physical SIM and an eSIM profile when the signal weakens, a data limit is reached, roaming begins or a network fails. The eSIM stores up to 7 consumer profiles. Data plans are not included.

This order code is the North America hardware version. It covers 5G NR bands n2, n5, n7, n12, n13, n14, n25, n26, n29, n30, n38, n41, n48, n66, n70, n71, n77 and n78, plus LTE-FDD and LTE-TDD bands for the region. It ships in the standard package with an 18 W US PSU, eight magnetic 5G antennas, two Wi-Fi antennas, a GNSS antenna and an Ethernet cable.

On the local side, the router provides one Gigabit WAN port, four Gigabit LAN ports and dual-band Wi-Fi 5 with MU-MIMO for up to 150 users. Load balancing and automatic failover can combine the mobile, wired, Wi-Fi WAN and VRRP links. RutOS adds dynamic routing (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), a firewall with DDoS and port-scan protection, and a TPM 2.0 module. VPN support includes OpenVPN, IPsec, WireGuard, DMVPN, ZeroTier and Tailscale.

For operational technology, the router supports Modbus, BACnet, OPC UA, DNP3, DLMS/COSEM and MQTT, along with a digital input and output and multi-constellation GNSS. The anodised aluminium housing is rated IP30 and operates from -40 °C to 60 °C on 9–50 VDC or passive PoE. Fleets can be managed through Teltonika RMS, SNMP, TR-069 or the Web API.

Questions buyers ask

Can both 5G modems be used at the same time?

Yes. The RUTM52 has two 5G modems, and both physical SIMs can operate simultaneously. You can balance traffic across both connections or use one as an automatic failover for the other.

Does the eSIM include a data plan?

No. The router supports consumer-type eSIM with profile download and removal for up to 7 profiles, but data plans are not included. Each modem can switch between its physical SIM and eSIM when the signal weakens, a data limit is reached, roaming begins or a network fails.

How can the RUTM52 be powered and mounted?

It accepts 9–50 VDC through a 4-pin industrial power connector, or passive PoE (Mode B, 9–50 VDC) on the LAN1 port. Passive PoE is not compatible with IEEE 802.3af/at/bt. DIN rail, wall and flat-surface mounting are supported, and each requires an additional kit.
