About This Device
In plenty of environments, a router's built-in Wi-Fi is a problem to be disabled: security policies forbid unmanaged radios, OT networks are wired by design, and sites with enterprise wireless already have access points doing the job properly. The RUTM59 is Teltonika's answer for exactly these cases — the full-service 5G wired router, minus the WLAN radio, at a cost and audit surface to match.
The WAN architecture mirrors Teltonika's mainstream 5G class. The modem delivers current-generation 5G with backward compatibility to 4G LTE Cat 19, keeping fallback throughput strong across mixed coverage. Dual SIM slots with automatic failover protect the site against single-carrier outages, and wired-WAN failover lets the router arbitrate between an existing circuit and its cellular paths as backup WAN.
On the LAN side, five Gigabit Ethernet ports handle the switching needs of most cabinets and small racks directly — firewalls, cameras, controllers, and servers wire straight in. RutOS supplies the industrial software stack: integrated routing and access policy, VPN support for secure backhaul, and the configurability integrators specify Teltonika for. Fleet operations run through Teltonika RMS with central configuration, monitoring, and firmware management.
Specify the RUTM59 for security-audited deployments that must not present a wireless attack surface, industrial and utility cabinets, and any wired-first site where paying for — and hardening — an unused radio makes no sense.
