Overview

The Digi TX54-A146 is the Primary Responder version of Digi's rugged TX54 transportation router, built for North America. It has a single LTE-Advanced Pro Cat 12 modem with FirstNet Trusted and Verizon Frontline support for public safety fleets. It adds Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), four Gigabit Ethernet ports and FIPS 140-3 security. The package includes a 1-year Digi 360 solution with SOC 2 Type 2 compliant Digi Remote Manager.

Digi TX54-A146 is the single-cellular Primary Responder model in the Digi TX54 family. It is designed for police, fire, EMS and other mission-critical vehicle and transportation deployments in North America. The model uses one LTE-Advanced Pro Cat 12 modem. Digi's primary responder models support FirstNet Trusted and Verizon Frontline for first responder and emergency communications. Local private subnets can be bridged across public networks to protect privacy and data integrity.

Inside the vehicle, Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz can serve as a LAN hotspot for laptops and tablets or as a WAN link at the station. Four Gigabit Ethernet ports connect cameras, mobile data terminals and other IP systems. Each port can be an isolated secure LAN, or all four can act as a Layer 2 switch. A USB port and DIN-rail mounting simplify installation. The industrial-grade design is built for vibration and temperature changes.

Security is central to the platform: - Meets the U.S. government FIPS 140-3 cybersecurity standard - Cryptographic co-processor with secure key generation - Digi TrustFence hardware and firmware protections - Chip-level encryption of the onboard file system

Digi Containers and Python support edge computing and custom applications.

The included Digi 360 solution provides SOC 2 Type 2 compliant Digi Remote Manager for centralized deployment, mass configuration and monitoring, along with warranty and customer care. Digi WAN Bonding and Digi Mobile VPN are available as value-added services. Mobile VPN provides persistent, encrypted sessions between vehicles and the data center.
