About This Device

The physics of fixed wireless access are simple: the closer the radio is to open sky, the better the link budget. The Inseego Wavemaker FW2000e is built around that principle. Instead of fighting attenuation through walls and low-emissivity glass, the FW2000e places the complete 5G termination outdoors, where it can hold a clean sub-6 GHz connection to the nearest tower and hand traffic to the LAN over a single cable run. For IT teams, that changes the deployment conversation. Sites that were previously stuck with DSL, saturated cable, or expensive fiber builds can be turned up on 5G in an afternoon, with no trenching and no construction schedule. Dual SIM slots let you load two carrier profiles, so a single unit can fail between networks or be re-homed to a new operator without a truck roll to swap hardware. When 5G service is marginal, the modem falls back to 4G LTE and keeps the site online rather than dropping the WAN entirely. The FW2000e fits both primary-WAN and backup roles. Retailers use it to diversify away from a single wireline provider; construction and logistics teams use it to stand up connectivity at temporary sites; enterprises use it as an out-of-band or disaster-recovery path that shares no physical infrastructure with the primary circuit. Fleet-wide configuration and monitoring run through Inseego's cloud management tooling, so remote units stay visible without on-site staff.
