Inseego USB8 4G LTE Cat 18 USB Modem with GPS

The Inseego USB8 puts 4G LTE into any device with a USB port. Built on the Qualcomm SDX20 chipset, it supports LTE Cat 18 with peak download speeds of 480 Mbps, 5-carrier download aggregation and 2x2 MIMO. Just plug it in: there is no software or device driver to install, and configuration, monitoring and diagnostics run through a web interface supported on Windows 7 or higher, Mac OS X 10.5 or higher and Linux Ubuntu 12.4 or higher.

Coverage is broad. The USB8 supports LTE bands B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B7, B12, B13, B14, B17, B18, B20, B28, B29, B30 and B66, plus HSPA+/UMTS on B1, B2, B4, B5 and B8, which Inseego rates for over 200 countries. It is certified for AT&T and Verizon networks and carries FCC, ISEDC, PTCRB, GCF, CE, RCM and RSM approvals. An external antenna port helps where signal is marginal.

Beyond laptop connectivity, the USB8 can provide failover communications for point-of-sale systems, kiosks and other IoT devices, and its integrated GNSS (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou) supports mobile asset tracking. Enterprise features include VPN support, remote configuration and IT administrator settings lockdown, with a security-hardened web interface, admin password hashing, incorrect-password lockout and parameter-tampering protection.

The modem measures 3.58 x 1.45 x 0.45 in, weighs 2.4 oz, uses a 4FF nano SIM and operates from 14 °F to 131 °F. A swivel hinge on the USB 2.0 Type-A connector adapts to any port orientation, and a multi-color LED shows status. User guide, quick start guide and datasheet are available from Inseego.
