About This Device
The ATEL RE600 is an indoor fixed wireless access (FWA) CPE designed for small and mid-size business connectivity over the cellular network. This model ships in a black finish that blends into equipment rooms, back offices, and IT closets.
Unlike consumer routers pressed into business service, the RE600 is built around one job: delivering dependable cellular WAN to a business site. The external antennas are the standout for tough indoor RF environments - installers can adjust their orientation to pull in the strongest signal available at the mounting location, which matters in buildings with metal construction, deep floor plates, or marginal coverage. The Ethernet handoff connects to your firewall, switch, or SD-WAN edge just like any wired circuit.
Deployment scenarios are the usual reasons IT teams buy FWA hardware: a branch or storefront where fiber and cable are unavailable or slow to install, a temporary or pop-up site that needs internet this week, or a continuity design where cellular rides as the secondary WAN behind the primary circuit. Because the device is SIM-activated on compatible carrier service, a site can go from unboxing to online in under an hour.
For multi-site rollouts, the RE600's simple indoor form factor keeps installation low-skill and repeatable, and the same platform is available in white and grey finishes to match different site environments.
