Overview

The Ubiquiti UniFi LTE Backup Pro (U-LTE-Backup Pro-US) is an LTE Cat 4 internet failover device for UniFi gateways. You insert your own AT&T data-only nano-SIM, and when the primary ISP link drops, the site stays online over LTE at up to 150 Mbps down and 50 Mbps up, depending on location and network. It is PoE-powered, has two GbE ports with PoE passthrough, and is managed in UniFi Network 7.2.85 or later.

The UniFi LTE Backup Pro gives UniFi gateway deployments an independent cellular path to the internet. It is built for IT managers and small businesses that run UniFi and need to keep point-of-sale, VoIP, cameras or remote management online during an ISP outage. This US model works on the AT&T network with a data-only nano-SIM you supply, and it is managed from the UniFi Network application (version 7.2.85 and later).

Inside is a 2x2 MIMO LTE Category 4 radio covering bands B2, B4, B5, B12, B14 and B66, with rated throughput of up to 150 Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload; actual speed and coverage depend on location and network performance. Two internal LTE antennas handle most installations, and a female RP-SMA connector accepts an optional external antenna of up to 6 dBi gain for weak-signal sites.

The unit draws power over Ethernet from a UniFi PoE switch or a 48V, 0.5A PoE adapter (44-57V DC supported) and consumes a maximum of 8.5W excluding passthrough. Its second GbE port provides PoE passthrough of up to 15.4W when fed by a PoE+ switch, so it can share a drop with another device. A 1.54-inch LCM display shows status at a glance.

The polycarbonate enclosure measures 66 x 202 x 32 mm and ships with both an aluminium foot stand and a polycarbonate wall mount. It operates from -10 to 60 °C, carries FCC and IC certification, and is NDAA compliant. The Ubiquiti datasheet covers full specifications.
