Overview

The Cisco C1117-4PMLTEEA is a compact ISR 1100 Series branch router that pairs an ADSL2/VDSL2+ (Annex M) port and a Gigabit Ethernet WAN/SFP combo port with an embedded LTE Advanced CAT6 modem for EMEA and North America. It adds four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, SMS/GPS support and Cisco IOS XE or SD-WAN software. Encrypted throughput reaches 679 Mbps (single tunnel, IMIX). It suits small offices and remote sites that need DSL, fiber or copper uplinks with cellular backup.

The Cisco C1117-4PMLTEEA is a member of the Cisco 1000 Series Integrated Services Routers. It combines routing, switching, security and three WAN options in one compact desktop chassis. The WAN side has one Gigabit Ethernet copper/SFP combo port, one ADSL2/VDSL2+ port for Annex M lines, and an embedded LTE Advanced CAT6 module with two LTE antennas. The PID suffix LTEEA identifies the EMEA and North America cellular variant. The LAN side has four Gigabit Ethernet switch ports. With the optional ISR-1100-POE2 115W power supply, those ports can power two PoE devices or one PoE+ device.

The DSL interface supports ITU G.993.2 VDSL2 with profiles 8a through 17a, VDSL2 vectoring, ADSL2/ADSL2+ Annex M (G.992.3, G.992.5) and dying gasp. The LTE link can serve as the primary WAN where wireline service is not available, or as a backup to DSL or Ethernet.

The router runs traditional Cisco IOS XE (minimum 16.6.1) or controller-managed Cisco IOS XE SD-WAN. In autonomous mode it forwards up to 1600 Mbps of IPv4 traffic and up to 500 Mbps of IPsec traffic at 512-byte packets. It scales to 100 IPsec SVTI tunnels, 280K IPv4 routes and 100K NAT sessions. In SD-WAN mode it delivers up to 450 Mbps of IPsec throughput across as many as 200 overlay tunnels. The base memory configuration is 4 GB DRAM with 4 GB flash.

Management ranges from local WebUI to Cisco vManage and Cisco DNA Center. Voice options include Cisco Unified Border Element and SRST. A micro-USB/RJ-45 console and a Type A USB 3.0 storage port complete the I/O. An optional ACS-1100-RM-19 kit allows rack mounting. The Cisco 1000 Series data sheet covers the full platform details.
