The Lantronix G526GP1ASG is a TAA-compliant industrial LTE Cat-4 cellular gateway for North America. It suits government, public-sector and contract deployments that need TAA-compliant hardware on AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon band sets. As the Industrial model of the G520 Series, it is built around Ethernet, serial, I/O and a fieldbus protocol conversion suite for factory equipment, utility sites and vehicles.

The LTE Cat-4 modem covers B2, B4, B5, B10, B12, B13, B14, B17, B25, B26, B66 and B71. Two mechanically secured mini-SIM holders provide dual SIM with single standby, and Ethernet, cellular and Wi-Fi can be set for failover or load balancing. Local connections include: - Two 10/100 Ethernet ports, one WAN reconfigurable as a second LAN - 2T2R Wi-Fi 5 as client or access point for about 12 users, plus Bluetooth/BLE 5.1 - Full RS-232 on a 9-pin sub-D and RS-485 on a 5-pin COMBICON header - A USB Type-A host port and two configurable I/Os (analogue, 4-20 mA or digital output) - An ignition pin, CAN bus and GPS on a dedicated SMA connector

Built-in software supports EtherCAT, DLMS client, DNP3 Outstation, Modbus master, IEC 104 slave and IEC 101 master. Security features include a zone-based firewall, VLAN, DMZ and SIM PIN. VPN options are IPsec (up to 4 channels), OpenVPN, WireGuard, GRE, L2TP and PPTP client. Fleets can be managed through Lantronix Percepxion or third-party platforms, including TR-069, and the G520 SDK supports custom firmware in Python or C/C++.

The gateway runs a 600 MHz ARM926EJ-S CPU with 256 MB DDR2 RAM and 256 MB NAND flash, plus a microSD slot. It accepts 10.8-60 V DC and includes a last-gasp battery with about 100 seconds of reserve. Documentation includes the G520 Product Brief, User Guide and G526/G527 Quick Start Guide.

Ideal for

  • Government and public-sector IoT deployments requiring TAA-compliant hardware
  • Utility and water sites using DNP3, IEC 101/104 or Modbus over LTE
  • Fleet and transit vehicles using CAN bus, ignition sensing and GPS
  • Industrial automation connecting PLCs and serial devices to central systems
  • Remote sensor monitoring with 4-20 mA inputs and digital outputs
