Overview
The Cisco Meraki MG41E is the external-antenna version of Meraki's Cat 18 LTE-A Pro cellular gateway. It pairs four external dipole antennas (optional patch antenna) with a modem rated up to 1.2 Gbps down and 150 Mbps up. Dual nano SIM slots provide automatic failover, and the modem supports five-carrier aggregation, private LTE and FirstNet band 14. The IP67 enclosure, PoE power and Meraki cloud management suit indoor or outdoor primary and backup WAN deployments.

The Meraki MG41E converts LTE service into an Ethernet uplink for a Meraki MX or any other router. It adds external antennas for sites where signal reach matters. Four external dipole antennas feed a Cat 18 LTE-A Pro modem rated up to 1.2 Gbps downlink and 150 Mbps uplink, with downlink 5CA, uplink 2CA and 4x4 downlink MIMO. For weaker coverage areas, an optional Meraki patch antenna is available. Band coverage spans 30 LTE bands, including B2, B4, B5, B12, B13, B14, B25, B26, B29, B30, B41, B48 CBRS, B66 and B71. Cisco Meraki lists PTCRB, RCM and GCF certification, and certified carriers include AT&T, AT&T FirstNet (capable), Verizon and T-Mobile.
Dual nano SIM slots provide automatic SIM failover, with SIM switching and custom APN settings available in the dashboard or on the local status page. One dedicated Gigabit LAN port and one convertible LAN/WAN Gigabit port serve two downstream routers. The IP67 enclosure mounts on a wall, ceiling or pole with the included bracket and operates from -30°C to 50°C. It draws power from 12 V DC or 802.3af PoE (10 W maximum).
The Meraki cloud handles the rest: • Zero-touch provisioning and scheduled firmware updates • Live IMEI, ICCID, APN, RSRP, RSRQ and carrier aggregation data • Alerts, remote packet capture, DM logging and an extensive API
Each gateway is paired with a Meraki MG41 Enterprise licence (1, 3, 5, 7 or 10 years). The hardware is covered by a lifetime warranty with next-day advance replacement.

What is the difference between the MG41 and MG41E?
