The Galaxy S26 is Samsung's compact Galaxy S flagship. SM-S942UZKEXAA is the unlocked US version in Black with 256GB of storage, of which 224.4GB is available, and 12GB of memory. That capacity leaves room for large apps, offline files and 8K video. Inside is the Exynos 2600 octa-core processor with 4.74GHz and 3.6GHz cores. Samsung rates its NPU 38% stronger for on-device AI, and a redesigned vapor chamber improves heat dissipation by up to 29%.
The 6.3-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display runs at up to 120 Hz, with a quoted peak brightness of 2600 nits. For photography, there is a 50 MP wide camera, a 12 MP ultra-wide and a telephoto with 3x optical zoom, plus up to 30x digital zoom and 8K 30fps recording. The 12 MP front camera has autofocus. One UI 8.5 brings Galaxy AI tools such as Photo Assist, Now Nudge, Now Brief and Circle to Search. You control whether AI processing runs on the device or in the cloud. Quick Share can also send files to supported Apple devices through AirDrop.
The S26 measures 149.6 x 71.7 x 7.2 mm and weighs 167 g. Its Armor Aluminum frame is paired with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 front and back, and the phone is IP68 rated. The 4,300 mAh (typical) battery charges to up to 69% in about 30 minutes over a wired connection. A charger is not included.
For managed deployments, the S26 offers Samsung DeX, Knox and Knox Matrix device security, Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be, EHT320, 4096-QAM), USB 3.2 Gen 1 and Bluetooth 5.4. It supports a nano-SIM plus eSIM or dual eSIM. Cellular coverage spans LTE and 5G Sub-6 bands including n41, n71, n77 and n78, and security updates run through 28 February 2033.
