Overview

The Lantronix X304G000S is the Latin America variant of the X300 Series compact industrial IoT gateway. It combines LTE Cat 1 cellular with software-switchable RS-232/RS-485 serial, a 10/100 Ethernet LAN port, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth/BLE 5.0 and GNSS in a 79 x 79 mm aluminum housing. It ships with antennas, a power supply, and 1 year of Percepxion IoT Edge device management and LEVEL 2 technical services. The SKU is built for Latin American networks. The USA/Canada version is X304G00AS.

The Lantronix X304G000S is a compact, industrial-grade cellular IoT gateway from the X300 Series, configured for Latin America. It is designed for industrial automation, remote monitoring, SCADA and PLC connectivity, and modernizing legacy serial equipment in harsh or space-constrained installations. The radio bands and certifications of this SKU are specific to Latin America, so US and Canadian deployments should use the X304G00AS instead.

The gateway connects over LTE Cat 1, with 3G or 2G fallback mode options available, through a Mini-SIM holder or an optional MFF2 embedded SIM. Local interfaces include one 10/100BASE-T LAN port and an RS-232 (6-signal) or RS-485 (half or full duplex) serial port on RJ-45 that you switch in software. Wi-Fi 5 runs as a client or as an access point for approximately 12 users. Bluetooth/BLE 5.0 supports BLE sensors, and Qualcomm IZat gen. 8C gpsOne GNSS uses a dedicated SMA connector. Ethernet, cellular and Wi-Fi can be configured for failover or load balancing.

Security comes from Lantronix InfiniShield, which includes a secure element chip, secure boot, a zone-based firewall, VLAN, DMZ, HTTPS access and SIM PIN. For VPN connections, the gateway supports WireGuard, ZeroTier, OpenVPN, PPTP client, L2TP, GRE and IPsec with up to 4 channels. The Linux-based ePACK software suite, SDK and ImageBuilder let developers run their own edge applications, and serial and Bluetooth SPP to network tunnels are available as IPK packages.

The unit runs on 9-30 V DC through a 3-pin Nano-Fit header, which includes an ignition digital input. It operates from -30°C to +70°C.
