Overview

The Lantronix X304G002S is the EMEA/APAC variant of the X300 Series compact industrial IoT gateway. It pairs LTE Cat 1 cellular with software-switchable RS-232/RS-485 serial, a 10/100 Ethernet LAN port, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth/BLE 5.0 and GNSS in a 79 x 79 mm aluminum housing. It ships with antennas, a power supply, and 1 year of Percepxion IoT Edge device management and LEVEL 2 technical services. This SKU is intended for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific, not for the US market.

The Lantronix X304G002S is a compact, industrial-grade cellular IoT gateway from the X300 Series, configured for EMEA and Asia Pacific. It suits industrial automation, SCADA, PLC connectivity, remote monitoring and legacy serial equipment in harsh or space-limited installations. Radio bands and certifications for this SKU are specific to EMEA/APAC, and Lantronix publishes an RCM certificate for this part number. US and Canadian deployments should use the X304G00AS.

The gateway connects over LTE Cat 1, with 3G or 2G fallback mode options available, through a Mini-SIM holder or an optional MFF2 embedded SIM. It provides one 10/100BASE-T LAN port and an RJ-45 serial port that switches in software between RS-232 (6-signal) and RS-485 (half or full duplex). Wi-Fi 5 works in client mode or as an access point for approximately 12 users. Bluetooth/BLE 5.0 supports BLE sensors, and Qualcomm IZat gen. 8C gpsOne GNSS connects through a dedicated SMA connector. Ethernet, cellular and Wi-Fi can be configured for failover or load balancing.

Lantronix InfiniShield security includes a secure element chip, secure boot, a zone-based firewall, VLAN, DMZ, HTTPS access and SIM PIN. VPN options include WireGuard, ZeroTier, OpenVPN, PPTP client, L2TP, GRE and IPsec with up to 4 channels. Developers can build edge applications on the Linux-based ePACK suite with the SDK and ImageBuilder.

Power is 9-30 V DC through a 3-pin Nano-Fit header with an ignition input, and the operating range is -30°C to +70°C. Percepxion handles zero-touch provisioning, configuration pushes and firmware upgrades across one to thousands of sites. A product brief, user guide and quick start guide are available.
