Overview

The Fortinet FortiWiFi 80F-2R-3G4G-DSL (FWF-80F-2R-3G4G-DSL-A, region code A) is a desktop security appliance that combines a FortiGate firewall with dual-radio Wi-Fi, an embedded DSL modem and an embedded 3G/4G LTE module. With eight GE RJ45 ports, two shared RJ45/SFP WAN ports and support for an optional redundant power adapter, it gives branch offices three independent WAN paths (fiber or copper Ethernet, DSL and LTE) managed from one device.

The FortiWiFi 80F-2R-3G4G-DSL is built for branch offices and small sites that need strong WAN resilience. Alongside two shared RJ45/SFP Gigabit WAN ports, it carries an embedded DSL modem and an embedded 3G/4G LTE module with a nano SIM slot, so a site can run fixed broadband, DSL and cellular on a single appliance. This SKU is Fortinet region code A. It is a 4G LTE device and does not include a 5G modem.

On the LAN side there are eight 1 Gbps RJ45 ports: ports 1 to 6 plus FortiLink ports A and B for FortiSwitch integration. A USB 3.0 port, an RJ45 console port and Bluetooth Low Energy management (activated from the front BLE/reset button) simplify deployment. Dual Wi-Fi radios supporting 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac serve local clients, and the appliance supports AES 256-bit and SHA-256 encryption with up to 10 Gbit/s firewall throughput.

The front POWER LED shows whether one or both power supplies are active, and an optional second power adapter and cable are available. A grounding screw provides a permanent protective earth connection where required. Rear SMA connectors serve the 3G/4G antennas and side connectors serve Wi-Fi; the same dipole antennas are used for both, and six are included in the box.

The package also contains a DC power adapter, power cable, Ethernet cable and RJ-11 cable for the DSL line. The FortiWiFi 80F-2R Series QuickStart Guide covers setup, LED behaviour and console settings.
