It pairs the vapor-cooled A20 Pro chip and a dual 16-core Neural Engine with a 6.9-inch Super Retina XDR ProMotion display. The 48MP Fusion Main camera has a variable aperture. The iPhone 18 Pro Max 2TB Burgundy (Apple part number MJWK4LL/A) is the US-market configuration of Apple's 6.9-inch Pro iPhone. It suits professionals, creators and field teams who need the most on-device storage Apple offers, along with long battery life and a pro camera system. The 2TB capacity is the top of the 256GB to 2TB range, which leaves room for ProRes and ProRAW captures, large offline file sets and years of business data.
The A20 Pro chip has a 6-core CPU with 2 super cores and 4 efficiency cores, a 7-core GPU with Neural Accelerators, a dual 16-core Neural Engine and hardware-accelerated ray tracing. A next-generation vapor chamber cools it during intensive AI workloads, including Apple Intelligence and Siri AI. Apple rates battery life at up to 30 hours of typical use and up to 45 hours of video playback. That is up to 6 more hours of video playback than iPhone 17 Pro Max. A 60W-capable adapter reaches 50% charge in around 15 minutes.
The 48MP Fusion Main camera offers variable aperture from ƒ/1.48 to ƒ/4.0 for better low-light results and more control over depth of field. It works alongside a 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide and a 48MP 4x Fusion Telephoto, giving an optical-quality zoom range up to 8x. Video recording reaches 4K Dolby Vision at 120 fps, with ProRes RAW, Apple Log 2 and Genlock support.
For connectivity, the phone supports 5G NR sub-6 GHz and mmWave, Gigabit LTE, and the Apple N1 chip with Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and Thread. Emergency SOS, Messages, Find My and Roadside Assistance all work via satellite. The aluminum unibody has a Ceramic Shield 2 front and a Ceramic Shield back and is rated IP68.
