Cisco Meraki MX67C Cloud-Managed LTE Security Appliance, North America Model (MX67C-NA)

The Cisco Meraki MX67C-NA puts a firewall, SD-WAN edge and cellular uplink into one compact desktop or wall-mount chassis. It is designed for small offices, clinics and retail sites where a single wired circuit is not dependable enough, or where a cellular path is needed for redundancy. The -NA suffix identifies the North American model.

The integrated Cat 6 LTE modem accepts a SIM card and supports FDD-LTE bands 2, 4, 5, 12/17, 13 and 29, with HSPA+ fallback on bands 2, 4 and 5. Two-carrier downlink aggregation up to 40 MHz is supported. Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile have certified the modem, which also holds PTCRB certification. For the initial setup, bring the appliance online through a wired WAN port so it can download the update that activates the built-in cellular uplink.

For wired connections there is a dedicated GbE WAN port, a GbE port that converts between LAN and WAN, and three dedicated GbE LAN ports. Throughput is rated at 700 Mbps for the stateful firewall and 400 Mbps for next-generation firewall detection. Site-to-site VPN is rated at 300 Mbps, with a 400 Mbps maximum VPN figure. The MX67C is a wired appliance without Wi-Fi or PoE.

The security stack covers a layer 3/7 firewall with geo-based rules, NAT, VLANs, content filtering, IDS/IPS and Advanced Malware Protection. Remote access works through IPsec client VPN or Cisco AnyConnect. Zero-touch provisioning, automatic firmware updates and ML-driven application analytics are delivered through the Cisco Meraki dashboard, so remote sites can be deployed with minimal pre-configuration. Support for third-party USB cellular modems on the MX ends on June 30, 2026.
