This Skyus SC variant is provisioned for AT&T service, which means devices arrive matched to the network they will run on — no band checklists per site, one activation process, and one carrier support path when something needs troubleshooting. For fleets standardized on AT&T data plans, that consistency is worth more than multi-carrier flexibility.
The modem itself is the industrial-grade Skyus SC platform: LTE Cat 4 connectivity in the 150 Mbps downlink class, with 3G fallback extending reach where LTE coverage is thin. The single USB 2.0 mini-B interface both powers the modem and carries data, so integration into an enclosure or onto an SD-WAN appliance is a one-cable exercise. A built-in connection manager keeps link behavior predictable on unattended hosts, and the compact, low-power design suits continuous duty in tight spaces.
In the field, the SC typically plays one of two roles. As a primary WAN it connects equipment that has no wireline option — remote cabinets, mobile assets, machine retrofits. As a failover leg it gives SD-WAN branches an inexpensive cellular path that activates when the wired circuit fails. Either way, Inseego's IoT Connect cloud provides fleet visibility and management, and a one-year warranty covers the hardware. Companion Skyus SC variants serve Verizon-only and carrier-flexible deployments, letting mixed fleets share one hardware family.
