The Cradlepoint E3000 (TAA-BFA5-30005GB-GN) is an all-in-one 5G branch router offered as a TAA-compliant U.S. Federal Government ordering option in the standard (non-FIPS) configuration. It pairs an embedded 5G modem and Cat 20 LTE with 4x4 Wi-Fi 6, 802.3bt PoE switching and a 10GbE SFP+ port. It ships with a 5-year NetCloud Enterprise Branch Essentials + Advanced subscription. The subscription includes cloud management, software updates, 24x7 support and a limited lifetime warranty for the full term.

The Ericsson Cradlepoint E3000 is an enterprise branch router for fixed offices, healthcare, financial services and retail sites that need security services at scale. This part number is a TAA-compliant U.S. Federal Government ordering option in the standard, non-FIPS configuration. It is paired with the 5GB modem, Wi-Fi and a 5-year NetCloud Enterprise Branch Essentials + Advanced subscription.

The embedded 5G FR1 modem supports NSA and SA modes and falls back to LTE Advanced Pro Category 20. It has dual 2FF SIM slots, 4x4 MIMO and four included 600 MHz to 6 GHz paddle antennas. Peak rates reach up to 4.14 Gbps down and 660 Mbps up. With cellular in the router, a site can be live on day one or run LTE/5G as failover behind wired broadband. An MC400 modular modem slot adds a second cellular connection for dual-modem resilience.

On the LAN side, the metal chassis provides: • 9 x GbE ports, 1 x 2.5GbE port and 1 x 10GbE SFP+ port, all LAN/WAN switchable • Four 802.3bt PoE Type 3/4 ports at up to 90 W each, within a 140 W total budget • Dual-band, concurrent 4x4 MU-MIMO Wi-Fi 6 with WPA3

Rated performance includes 2 Gbps stateful firewall throughput, 1.5 Gbps with IPS and application-aware services, 20 concurrent VPN tunnels, 130,000 concurrent TCP sessions and up to 64 VLANs.

The NetCloud Essentials + Advanced package adds a stateful zone-based firewall, intrusion prevention and threat protection. It also adds dynamic routing, application-aware traffic steering and SD-WAN. NetCloud Manager provides zero-touch deployment, group policy and analytics for the full subscription term.

No. This part number is the TAA-compliant, non-FIPS configuration. Cradlepoint's FIPS 140-3 Level 1 listing applies to E3000 FIPS models only.

What does the 5-year NetCloud Essentials + Advanced plan include?

It includes NetCloud Manager cloud management and software updates for the full term. It also includes 24x7 support: phone 24 hours on weekdays with emergency response on weekends, web 24x7 and chat 24x5. Security, routing and SD-WAN features come from Essentials + Advanced. The hardware limited lifetime warranty applies while the subscription is active.

Which cellular networks does the modem support?

The embedded 5GB modem supports 5G FR1 in NSA and SA modes and LTE Advanced Pro Category 20, across 19 5G NR bands and a broad set of LTE FDD and TDD bands. Cradlepoint lists network operator certifications for AT&T, EE, T-Mobile and Verizon, and public safety certifications for FirstNet Trusted, T-Mobile Connecting Heroes and Verizon Frontline Verified.

Can I add a second cellular modem?
