Overview

The Cradlepoint E3000 TAA-BFA3-30005GB-FN pairs the E3000 enterprise branch router with an embedded 5G modem (5GB) and a 3-year NetCloud Enterprise Branch Essentials + Advanced plan. This is the TAA-compliant FIPS ordering option for U.S. federal government buyers. The FIPS 140-3 Level 1 module is in process. The router combines routing, security, PoE switching and 4x4 Wi-Fi 6 in one metal chassis, rated to 2 Gbps stateful firewall throughput.

The Cradlepoint E3000 is an all-in-one enterprise branch router for fixed offices, healthcare, financial services and retail locations that need security services at scale without extra hardware. This part number, TAA-BFA3-30005GB-FN, is the TAA-compliant FIPS variant for U.S. federal government procurement. It bundles the E3000 with the embedded 5GB 5G modem, Wi-Fi, and three years of NetCloud Enterprise Branch Essentials + Advanced.

The embedded modem supports 5G FR1 in both NSA and SA modes plus LTE Advanced Pro Category 20. It covers bands from n71 (600 MHz) through n77, n78 and n79, has dual 2FF SIM slots, and includes CBRS Band 48 for private cellular. Wired connectivity includes nine GbE ports, one 2.5GbE port and one 10GbE SFP+ port, all LAN/WAN switchable. Four 802.3bt PoE ports deliver up to 90 W each from a 140 W budget. Dual-band 4x4 MU-MIMO Wi-Fi 6 reaches 2,400 Mbps on 5 GHz. An MC400 modular modem slot adds a second cellular link for dual-modem resilience.

Performance is rated at 2 Gbps stateful firewall, 1.5 Gbps with IPS and application-aware services, 400 Mbps IPsec VPN and 130,000 concurrent TCP sessions. The E3000 supports 20 VPN tunnels and up to 64 VLANs for around 100 typical clients. You can also pair two routers with VRRP for hardware redundancy.

The Essentials + Advanced plan adds zone-based firewall, intrusion prevention, SD-WAN and Connection Manager to the router. It also includes zero-touch deployment and group policy through NetCloud Manager, and 24x7 support for the full term. Software updates come through NetCloud Manager for the full term. The hardware carries a limited lifetime warranty for as long as an active NetCloud subscription remains in place.
