About This Device
The FortiExtender 202F is part of Fortinet's FortiExtender line, built on the company's security-driven networking approach: connectivity and security are configured together rather than bolted on afterward. This dual-modem model carries two dual-SIM 3G/4G LTE Cat 7 M.2 modules, giving four SIM positions in total. Two radios mean two carrier connections can be live simultaneously — aggregate them, split traffic by policy, or hold one hot for instant recovery. This EMEA/Asia (EA) SKU is tuned for carriers across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
Each LTE Cat 7 module is rated at a 300 Mbps downlink class, and the dual-radio architecture is the headline: sites that can't tolerate even failover-length outages keep both carriers connected continuously. Five GE RJ45 ports flex between WAN and LAN in software, and six external antennas allow careful RF placement in difficult buildings.
Management options fit both single sites and thousand-site fleets. A FortiGate can adopt and control the unit through Security Fabric integration, while FortiExtender Cloud provides zero-touch provisioning, monitoring, and firmware management at scale; FortiManager support rounds out the tooling. Multinationals can mirror their Americas 202F-AM standard abroad with this EA variant under the same management plane.
