The Fortinet FortiGate Rugged 60G-5G M12 (FGR-60G-5G-M12) is a ruggedized next-generation firewall engineered for the environments where networks are hardest to protect: plant floors, control cabinets, transportation infrastructure, and remote field sites. M12 X-coded Ethernet and K-coded power connectors lock in place under vibration, making this the variant for rolling stock, vehicles, and high-vibration industrial mounts. Connectivity starts with the embedded 5G cellular wireless WAN module, provisioned through Active/Passive dual SIM SIM slots and driven by 4x external SMA WWAN antennas for reliable signal in challenging RF environments. Use 5G as a rapid-deploy primary WAN, or as a diverse backup path that keeps industrial sites online when wired circuits fail. Wired networking covers 4x GE M12 X-coded LAN ports with a hardware bypass pair, 2x GE M12 X-coded WAN ports, and 2x SFP slots, and the hardware bypass capability keeps inline traffic flowing even if the appliance loses power — a requirement for many industrial and safety-adjacent links. Passive GPS (combined with ANT1) adds location awareness for distributed or mobile assets, and M12 serial port (data and console), USB port, and MicroSD card slot round out serviceability.
