Overview

The Cradlepoint R920 (MA01-0920-C7A-NA) is a ruggedized, metal-housed LTE router for vehicles and mobile operations in the U.S. and Canada. It pairs an embedded Cat 7 LTE modem (300 Mbps down, 150 Mbps up) and dual 4FF SIM slots with dual-band Wi-Fi 6, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, Bluetooth LE 5.1 and multi-constellation GNSS. It runs on 9–36 VDC with ignition sensing and carries an IP64 rating. This SKU bundles a 1-year NetCloud Mobile Essentials plan. The AC power supply and antennas are not included.

The Ericsson Cradlepoint R920 is a ruggedized LTE networking platform for fleets, public safety vehicles, transit and field operations that need dependable in-vehicle connectivity and one standard router across the fleet. This North America (U.S. & Canada) SKU, MA01-0920-C7A-NA, combines the R920 hardware with a 1-year NetCloud Mobile Essentials plan. It includes cloud management through NetCloud Manager, software updates and support for the full term, and a limited lifetime hardware warranty for as long as an active NetCloud subscription is maintained.

The embedded Cat 7 LTE modem uses 2x2 MIMO and 2-carrier aggregation to reach 300 Mbps downlink and 150 Mbps uplink. It has dual 4FF SIM slots with SIM-based auto-carrier selection and holds network operator certifications for AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon. It supports FirstNet Trusted, T-Mobile Connecting Heroes and Verizon Frontline public safety networks, and private cellular networks on CBRS Band 48. Adding the RX20 Managed Accessory provides a second LTE or 5G modem plus a serial port.

Inside the vehicle, dual-band concurrent 2x2 MU-MIMO Wi-Fi 6 delivers up to 1.2 Gbps on 5 GHz and works as an access point, a wireless client or Wi-Fi as WAN. Two switchable Gigabit Ethernet ports, a screw-lock USB 2.0 port and embedded Bluetooth LE 5.1 cover wired and IoT devices. An active GNSS receiver tracks GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou and QZSS, which feeds NetCloud location and coverage maps. The router is rated for 940 Mbps stateful firewall throughput, 20 concurrent VPN tunnels and up to 64 VLANs. A dual-core ARMv8 processor runs Docker containerized applications at the edge.

The R920 is built for harsh conditions. It operates from -30 °C to 75 °C, carries an IP64 rating and holds E-Mark, SAE J1455, EN 61373 rail, MIL-STD-810G shock and vibration, and Class I Div 2 certifications.
