The Ericsson Cradlepoint R920 is a ruggedized LTE networking platform for vehicles and IoT, built for organizations that want flexible connectivity and one standard platform across a fleet. This SKU, TAA-MA05-0920-C7A-NA, combines the R920 Cat 7 hardware with a 5-year NetCloud Mobile Essentials plan. It is the TAA-compliant configuration for US Federal Government ordering. The hardware ships without an AC power supply or antennas.

The embedded Cat 7 LTE modem uses 2-carrier aggregation to reach up to 300 Mbps downlink and 150 Mbps uplink. It has dual SIM slots with SIM-based auto-carrier selection and network operator certifications for AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon. Public safety certifications cover FirstNet Trusted, T-Mobile Connecting Heroes and Verizon Frontline, and private LTE is supported on CBRS Band 48. Dual-band concurrent 2x2 MU-MIMO Wi-Fi 6 covers in-vehicle devices, and two GbE ports switch between LAN and WAN. Active GNSS tracks GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou and QZSS for NetCloud coverage maps and vehicle location history. The RX20 Managed Accessory adds a second LTE or 5G modem and a serial port when needed.

The IP64 enclosure operates from -30 °C to 75 °C. It is certified to E-Mark, SAE J1455, EN 61373 rail, MIL-STD-810G shock and vibration, and Class I Div 2. Ignition sensing handles automatic power-on and time-delayed shutdown on 9–36 VDC. Security and routing performance reaches 940 Mbps for firewall and IPS traffic and 200 Mbps for IPsec VPN, with up to 20 tunnels and 64 VLANs. A dual-core ARMv8 CPU runs Docker containers at the edge.

Over the full 5-year term, the Essentials plan provides NetCloud Manager device management and software updates, plus 24x7 support. It also provides a limited lifetime hardware warranty while an active NetCloud subscription is maintained. You can add a NetCloud Mobile Advanced plan at any time.
