The Cradlepoint R920 (TAA-MA03-0920-C7A-NA) is a ruggedized metal LTE router for vehicles and mobile operations. It is bundled with a 3-year Ericsson NetCloud Mobile Essentials plan and is the TAA-compliant ordering option for US Federal Government buyers. It combines a Cat 7 LTE modem (300 Mbps down, 150 Mbps up), dual 4FF SIM slots, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, two switchable GbE ports, active GNSS and Bluetooth LE 5.1 in an IP64 enclosure that runs on 9–36 VDC with ignition sensing.

The Ericsson Cradlepoint R920 is a ruggedized LTE networking platform built for vehicles and IoT deployments where connectivity and product standardization matter. This SKU, TAA-MA03-0920-C7A-NA, pairs the R920 Cat 7 hardware with a 3-year NetCloud Mobile Essentials plan. It is the TAA-compliant configuration intended for US Federal Government procurement. The hardware ships without an AC power supply or antennas.

The embedded Cat 7 LTE modem uses 2-carrier aggregation for up to 300 Mbps downlink and 150 Mbps uplink, with dual SIM slots and SIM-based auto-carrier selection. The modem carries AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon network certifications and public safety certifications for FirstNet Trusted, T-Mobile Connecting Heroes and Verizon Frontline. It also supports private LTE on CBRS Band 48. Onboard, dual-band concurrent 2x2 MU-MIMO Wi-Fi 6 serves in-vehicle clients. Two GbE ports are LAN/WAN switchable, and active multi-constellation GNSS feeds NetCloud coverage maps and location history. You can add a second LTE or 5G modem and a serial port later with the RX20 Managed Accessory.

The R920 is designed for harsh mounting locations. It carries an IP64 rating, operates from -30 °C to 75 °C, and holds E-Mark, SAE J1455, EN 61373 rail, MIL-STD-810G shock and vibration, and Class I Div 2 certifications. Power runs from 9–36 VDC with ignition sensing for automatic on and time-delayed off. Performance reaches 940 Mbps for stateful firewall and IPS traffic and 200 Mbps for IPsec VPN, with up to 20 tunnels. A dual-core ARMv8 processor runs Docker containerized applications at the edge.

The Essentials plan covers NetCloud Manager device management and software updates for the full 3-year term. It also includes 24x7 support and a limited lifetime hardware warranty while an active NetCloud subscription is maintained. You can add a NetCloud Mobile Advanced plan at any time.
