The Fortinet FortiGate 51G-5G is a fanless desktop next-generation firewall with an embedded Telit Cinterion 5G modem, dual nano-SIM slots and five external SMA antenna ports. It combines firewalling, SD-WAN and network controller functions in one appliance for branch and distributed sites. This bundle (FG-51G-5G-BDL-809-60) pairs the hardware with a 5-year term of FortiCare Premium and FortiGuard Enterprise Protection, covering IPS, anti-malware, URL/DNS/video filtering, DLP and attack surface security.

The FortiGate 51G-5G is Fortinet's 5G-equipped member of the FortiGate/FortiWiFi 50G series, built for distributed enterprise sites that need firewalling, SD-WAN and cellular WAN in a single desktop appliance. It runs FortiOS on Fortinet's SD-WAN ASIC with an embedded multi-core processor, rated at up to 5 Gbps firewall throughput, 4.5 Gbps IPsec VPN, 1.25 Gbps NGFW and 1.1 Gbps threat protection throughput.

Cellular connectivity comes from an embedded Telit Cinterion FN990A28-HP 5G modem with two nano-SIM slots in active/passive mode and five external SMA antenna ports. It covers a wide set of 5G NR bands, including n41, n71, n77 and n78, plus broad LTE support. Fortinet lists PTCRB, AT&T and Verizon certification, FirstNet capability, and T-Mobile certification targeted for Q4 2026. Wired connectivity includes five GE RJ45 ports (one WAN, three internal and one FortiLink by default), a USB port and an RJ45 console port, with 64 GB of onboard SSD storage.
