Fortinet FortiWiFi 50G-5G-II 5G Firewall with Wi-Fi 6 and 1-Year Unified Threat Protection Bundle

The FortiWiFi 50G-5G-II combines firewalling, SD-WAN, a network controller and wireless access in a compact desktop appliance for distributed enterprise sites. It runs FortiOS on Fortinet's SD-WAN-based ASIC. Fortinet rates it at up to 5 Gbps firewall throughput, 4.5 Gbps IPsec VPN, 2.25 Gbps IPS, 1.25 Gbps NGFW and 1.1 Gbps threat protection, with logging enabled for the inspection figures. It handles 720,000 concurrent TCP sessions and 200 site-to-site IPsec tunnels.

Cellular connectivity comes from an embedded Telit Cinterion FN990A28-HP 5G modem with two nano-SIM slots (active/passive). It covers a wide range of 5G NR and LTE bands, including n41, n71, n77 and n78. Fortinet lists it as PTCRB, AT&T and Verizon certified and FirstNet capable, with T-Mobile certification targeted for Q4 2026. The unit can run a site entirely on 5G or keep traffic moving when a wired circuit goes down. On the LAN side it offers five GE RJ45 ports (one WAN, three internal, one FortiLink) and dual-radio 2x2 Wi-Fi 6 rated up to 1201 Mbps at 5 GHz. It also includes USB and RJ45 console ports, Bluetooth Low Energy and a Trusted Platform Module.

This bundle includes 12 months of FortiCare Premium and FortiGuard Unified Threat Protection. The services cover: • IPS and malicious/botnet URL blocking • Anti-malware with FortiGate Cloud Sandbox and content disarm and reconstruct • URL, DNS and video filtering • Anti-spam • Application control and inline CASB • Core FortiGuard services such as GeoIP, botnet IP and anti-phishing feeds
