The Fortinet FortiWiFi 50G-5G-II (FWF-50G-5G-II-T) is a desktop FortiGate next-generation firewall with SD-WAN, a dual-radio 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) access point and an embedded Telit Cinterion 5G modem with two nano SIM slots. It delivers up to 5 Gbps firewall and 4.5 Gbps IPsec VPN throughput on Fortinet's SD-WAN ASIC, giving branch offices and distributed sites secure wired, wireless and cellular connectivity from one appliance. This SKU is region code T hardware.

The FortiWiFi 50G-5G-II integrates firewalling, SD-WAN, network control and wireless access in one compact appliance running FortiOS, Fortinet's converged networking and security platform. It is designed for distributed enterprise sites, retail branches and small offices that want enterprise-grade security with a built-in cellular WAN. This listing is the FWF-50G-5G-II-T, ordered under Fortinet region code T, as the appliance on its own without a bundled subscription term.

Performance comes from Fortinet's patented SD-WAN ASIC and an embedded multi-core processor: up to 5 Gbps firewall throughput, 4.5 Gbps IPsec VPN, 2.25 Gbps IPS, 1.25 Gbps NGFW and 1.1 Gbps threat protection throughput. The appliance handles 720,000 concurrent TCP sessions and 85,000 new sessions per second, and supports 200 site-to-site and 250 client IPsec tunnels. SD-WAN and the network controller are included, with management for up to 8 FortiSwitches and 16 FortiAPs.

The embedded Telit Cinterion FN990A28-HP modem provides 5G NR and LTE connectivity across a broad band list, with two nano SIM slots in active/passive mode and PC1.5 support on n41, n77, n78 and n79. Fortinet lists PTCRB, AT&T and Verizon certification and FirstNet capability. On the LAN side there are five GE RJ45 ports (one WAN, three internal, one FortiLink), dual-radio 2x2 MU-MIMO Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth Low Energy for setup, a TPM and a signed-firmware hardware switch.
