The Cradlepoint TAA-MB05-2155-5GB-GA pairs the Ericsson Cradlepoint R2155, an exterior-mounted 5G ruggedized router without Wi-Fi, with a 5-year NetCloud Mobile Performance Essentials plan. It is a TAA-compliant ordering option for U.S. Federal Government buyers. The modem, four internal cellular antennas and router share one IP67, IK09 polycarbonate housing built for vehicle roofs and IoT cabinets. It runs as a standalone 5G router or as a captive 5G modem for a supported Cradlepoint router. No AC power supply is included, and no SIM is supplied.

The Cradlepoint R2155 is the no-Wi-Fi configuration of the Ericsson Cradlepoint R2100 5G ruggedized router. It is built for mass transit, public safety and IoT deployments that need high-bandwidth cellular in a simple exterior-mounted form factor. This part number, TAA-MB05-2155-5GB-GA, is the TAA-compliant U.S. Federal Government SKU. It bundles the router with a 5-year Ericsson NetCloud Mobile Performance Essentials plan. The package ships with integrated antennas and no AC power supply, and a 4FF SIM is not included.

The R2155 mounts on a vehicle roof or an enclosure, so the modem sits outside the vehicle with no coax runs or signal loss. It has an embedded 5G NR FR1 modem (NSA and SA) with LTE Advanced Pro Category 20 fallback, 4x4 MIMO and dual 4FF SIM slots. Peak rates reach up to 4.14 Gbps downlink and 660 Mbps uplink. The modem is certified on AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon and carries FirstNet Trusted, T-Mobile Connecting Heroes and Verizon Frontline Verified public safety certifications. It also supports CBRS Band 48 private cellular.

Installation needs only one cable to the vehicle, either 9–36 VDC with ignition sensing or 802.3at PoE. The single 2.5 GbE RJ45 LAN port connects the unit to onboard equipment or to a controlling Cradlepoint router. In captive mode, NetCloud Manager treats the R2155 as that router's internal modem, so no separate licence is needed. The housing is rated IP67, IK09 and MIL-STD-810G for shock and vibration, and it carries E-Mark and SAE J1455 vehicle certifications. It operates from -30 °C to 70 °C.

The Essentials plan covers NetCloud Manager cloud management and software updates for the full term. It also includes 24x7 support, access to Enterprise Wireless University, and a limited lifetime warranty while the subscription is active.
