Overview

The Cradlepoint S400 is a cloud-managed, semi-ruggedized LTE router for IoT networks in light industrial, digital signage and kiosk deployments. This TAA-compliant U.S. Federal Government SKU bundles the router with a 5-year NetCloud IoT Essentials + Advanced subscription. Per the ordering guide, it also includes an AC power supply and antennas. The router has an embedded Cat 6 LTE modem with dual SIM slots, a Gigabit Ethernet port, single-radio dual-band Wi-Fi 5, GNSS and an expansion slot for serial, GPIO or dual Fast Ethernet modules.

The Ericsson Cradlepoint S400 is a compact, semi-ruggedized router and secure appliance for IoT networks. It connects over LTE, wired Ethernet and Wi-Fi, and Cradlepoint designs it for light industrial equipment, digital signage and kiosks. This part number, TAA-TBV5-0400-C6-NA-N, is the TAA-compliant configuration for U.S. Federal Government ordering. It pairs the S400 with 5 years of NetCloud IoT Essentials plus the NetCloud IoT Advanced Plan. Per the ordering guide, the hardware ships with an AC power supply and antennas.

The embedded Cat 6 LTE modem (3GPP Rel. 11) reaches peak rates of 300 Mbps down and 50 Mbps up with 2x2 MIMO and downlink carrier aggregation. Multi-constellation GNSS supports asset tracking and portable IoT use cases. Power comes from a 9–33 VDC input or 802.3af PoE. The unit operates from -20 °C to 60 °C and is tested to MIL-STD-810H shock and vibration methods. It is also rated for Class I Div 2 hazardous locations.

The NetCloud subscription covers the full term. It provides centralized cloud management through NetCloud Manager, group policies, software updates, zero trust connect-and-go security and 24x7 support. Cradlepoint hardware carries a limited lifetime warranty while an active NetCloud Service Plan is in place.
