Overview

The Fortinet FortiGate Rugged 70G-5G-DUAL is a fanless, DIN-rail next-generation firewall for industrial and OT networks. It is built around two embedded 5G modems with active/active dual SIM and passive GPS. It adds 6 GE RJ45 ports, 2 SFP slots, a bypass port pair and redundant 12V to 125V DC inputs, and operates from -40°C to 75°C. This bundle (FGR-70G-5G-DUAL-BDL-95036) pairs the hardware with a 3-year FortiCare Premium and FortiGuard Unified Threat Protection (UTP) subscription.

The FortiGate Rugged 70G-5G-DUAL is Fortinet's ruggedized next-generation firewall for substations, rail, maritime, and other operational technology sites where office-grade appliances fail. The enclosure is fanless and IP40-rated for indoor mounting on a DIN rail. It operates from -40°F to 167°F (-40°C to 75°C) and holds IEC 61850-3, IEEE 1613, EN 50155, IEC 60945 and DNV Type Approval certifications. Power comes from redundant 12V to 125V DC inputs on terminal blocks (DC cables not included), with an average draw of 25 W.

Connectivity is built for sites without wired backhaul. Two embedded 5G modules (Telit Cinterion FN990A28-HP) run two SIM slots in active/active mode. The package includes eight external SMA WWAN antennas plus an external SMA GPS antenna for passive GPS. The modem carries AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon carrier certifications and is FirstNet Capable (5G), with T-Mobile T-Priority and Verizon Frontline support for public safety deployments. On the wired side, it provides 4 GE RJ45 LAN ports, 2 GE RJ45 WAN ports, a GE bypass pair between PORT1 and PORT2, 2 SFP slots, RJ45 serial and console ports, USB-A 2.0, a MicroSD slot, a digital I/O module and a TPM.

The FortiSP5 processor and FortiOS deliver up to 8 Gbps firewall, 7.1 Gbps IPsec VPN, 2.5 Gbps IPS, 1.5 Gbps NGFW and 1.3 Gbps threat protection throughput, with built-in Secure SD-WAN. The 3-year UTP term covers these services: - IPS - Anti-malware, including FortiGate Cloud Sandbox - URL, DNS and video filtering - Anti-spam - Application control - Inline CASB - FortiCare Premium
