Overview

The FGR-70G-5G-DUAL-BDL-95060 bundle pairs the Fortinet FortiGate Rugged 70G-5G-DUAL with a 5-year FortiCare Premium and FortiGuard Unified Threat Protection (UTP) subscription. The appliance is a fanless, IP40, DIN-rail next-generation firewall for industrial and OT sites. It has two embedded 5G modems with active/active dual SIM, passive GPS, 6 GE RJ45 ports, 2 SFP slots and a bypass pair. It runs on redundant 12V to 125V DC and is rated for -40°C to 75°C.

Built for long-lived industrial deployments, the FortiGate Rugged 70G-5G-DUAL brings Fortinet's next-generation firewall and Secure SD-WAN to places where standard appliances do not survive. The fanless, IP40 enclosure mounts on a DIN rail and operates from -40°F to 167°F (-40°C to 75°C) at altitudes up to 10,000 ft. It is certified to IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 for the electric power industry, EN 50155 for rolling stock, and IEC 60945 with DNV Type Approval for maritime use. Redundant 12V to 125V DC inputs (DC cables not included) keep it powered from industrial supplies.

The appliance has two embedded 5G modules based on the Telit Cinterion FN990A28-HP, with two SIM slots in active/active mode. It ships with eight external SMA WWAN antennas and an external SMA GPS antenna for passive GPS. Band support covers a wide range of 5G NR and LTE bands for all regions. The modem holds AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon carrier certifications, is FirstNet Capable (5G), and supports T-Mobile T-Priority and Verizon Frontline. Wired interfaces include: - 4 GE RJ45 LAN and 2 GE RJ45 WAN ports - A PORT1-2 bypass pair - 2 SFP slots - RJ45 serial and console ports - USB-A 2.0 and a MicroSD slot - A digital I/O module and a TPM

The FortiSP5 processor delivers up to 8 Gbps firewall, 7.1 Gbps IPsec VPN, 2.5 Gbps IPS and 1.3 Gbps threat protection throughput. The 60-month subscription term covers FortiCare Premium plus FortiGuard IPS, anti-malware with FortiGate Cloud Sandbox, URL, DNS and video filtering, anti-spam, application control and inline CASB.
