The Cradlepoint R1900 (TAA-MBA5-19005GB-GA) is a ruggedized 5G in-vehicle router bundled with 5 years of Ericsson NetCloud Mobile Performance Essentials and Advanced plans. The Ericsson Cradlepoint R1900 is a ruggedized 5G networking platform built for persistent connectivity in vehicles. This part number, TAA-MBA5-19005GB-GA, is the TAA-compliant U.S. Federal Government SKU. It combines the R1900 hardware (5G with Wi-Fi and 4FF SIM, no AC power supply or antennas) with 5-year Ericsson NetCloud Mobile Performance Essentials and Advanced plans. It suits agencies and fleet operators that need a compliant, centrally managed mobile network in the vehicle.

The embedded 5G NR FR1 modem supports NSA and SA operation and falls back to LTE Advanced Pro Category 20 when a vehicle leaves 5G coverage. Rated peak rates reach 4.14 Gbps downlink and 660 Mbps uplink, with 4x4 MIMO and dual SIM slots. The modem carries AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon certifications and holds FirstNet Trusted, Verizon Frontline Verified and T-Mobile Connecting Heroes public safety certifications. CBRS Band 48 covers private cellular networks. On the local side you get four GbE LAN/WAN ports and 2x2 MU-MIMO dual-band Wi-Fi 6. The unit also provides Bluetooth LE 5.2, RS-232 serial, USB 2.0 and 8-pin GPIO. Discrete GNSS with dead reckoning supports GPS, Galileo, GLONASS and BeiDou for automatic vehicle location.

The R1900 is built for harsh installs. It carries IP64 protection, a -30 °C to 75 °C operating range and 9–36 VDC input with ignition sensing and ISO 7637-2 transient protection. Approvals include E-Mark, SAE J1455, EN 50155, NFPA 130, MIL-STD-810G shock and vibration, and Class I Div 2. Optional RX30 managed accessories add four PoE ports, or four GbE ports and a second modem for dual-carrier connectivity.

The Essentials package includes NetCloud Manager, software updates and 24x7 support for the full term. The limited lifetime warranty applies while the subscription is active. The Advanced plan adds threat management, web filtering, application visibility, analytics, location tracking and cellular coverage maps.
